Career Campaign · Backend + Platform
A phased, trackable plan to convert your building ability into a high-paying remote role for a foreign (US / EU / Canada) company. You already own a strong DevOps/observability base — this plan builds on it and closes the two real gaps. Primary stack: TypeScript + Node.js. Check items off as you go — progress saves in this browser.
✓ Already unlocked — Docker · K8s · Helm · Ingress · ConfigMaps · reverse proxies · Prometheus · Grafana · ~300 DSA problems (cold). The infra half is done; leverage it, don't re-learn it.
Six tracks you advance in parallel
Strict TS, not plain JS. Async patterns, API design, testing. This is your primary, marketable identity.
Pattern-based LeetCode. The gate that rejects strong builders. Fluency in mediums beats volume.
Build, then defend. Scaling, tradeoffs, failure modes, back-of-envelope numbers — out loud.
Docker, K8s, Helm, ingress, Prometheus, Grafana — done. Remaining edge: finish CI/CD and pick one cloud to go deep on.
GitHub as proof, TS-forward LinkedIn, healthcare niche. For remote hiring, demonstrable work > résumé.
Written (PRs, docs, async) and spoken English. 30–40% of a remote hiring decision. Practice deliberately.
Read before you run
Don't switch before ~15–18 months total tenure. Sub-1-year stints hurt you. You're building, not fleeing.
Check your vendor contract now for notice period, bond, or a no-direct-hire / non-compete clause with Bayshore. Know your exit terms before you're ready to leave.
40+ LPA is a top-5–10% outcome earned over ~2–3 years of consistent daily work — a protected 2–4 hrs/day, not motivation spikes. You started early; that's the advantage.
AI is a multiplier, not a crutch — interviews are AI-free. Using AI at work is fine and expected. But keep a protected AI-off zone: all DSA by hand, and write your flagship's hard core (idempotency, retries, rate limiter) yourself before AI reviews it. Rule: never keep code you couldn't rewrite from scratch and explain line by line.
